About Koality Families
Meet your consultant
Hi, I’m Emma.
I’m a behavior analyst, parent coach, and mom with over a decade of experience supporting children and families.
My work with families began long before my professional credentials. As the oldest child in my family, I grew up helping care for my younger siblings — so in some ways, supporting children and family rhythms has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.
Professionally, I’ve spent years working with children across home, school, clinic, and community settings, with a special focus on neurodivergent children and their families. My background allows me to look closely at behavior, communication, learning, routines, and family dynamics so I can help parents better understand what is happening beneath the surface.
I also value collaboration. I stay connected to other practitioners, resources, and developments in the field so families receive thoughtful, individualized, and holistic support — not cookie-cutter advice. My goal is to offer recommendations that are targeted, practical, and realistic for your actual home life.
At Koality Families, I believe support should feel approachable, connected, and doable. Families do not need complicated plans they cannot keep up with. They need clear guidance, compassionate support, and tools that help them move toward more peace, confidence, connection and meet you where you’re at.
About the services: FAQs
-
Through Koality Families, I provide individualized family consulting and coaching for parents who want practical, compassionate support with their child’s development, behavior, routines, communication, learning, and daily family life.
Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I work with families to understand what is actually happening and create realistic strategies that fit your child, your values, and your everyday routines.
-
Koality Families Consulting is a good fit for families who want support with things like challenging behavior, emotional regulation, communication, independence, daily routines, transitions, toileting, school-related challenges, sibling dynamics, play skills, or general parenting confidence.
I especially love supporting families of neurodivergent children, including children with autism, ADHD, developmental delays, sensory differences, or children who simply need a more individualized approach.
-
Koality Families combines professional expertise with a warm, practical, family-centered approach for a high “koality” experience that helps increase the synergy of your family. I have over a decade of experience working with children and families, including specialized experience supporting neurodivergent children.
My goal is not to hand you generic advice or overwhelming recommendations. My goal is to help you understand your child more clearly and create strategies that feel doable, respectful, and connected to your real life.

Yes. Many families receive a diagnosis and are left wondering, “Now what?”
I can help you slow down, understand your child’s needs, identify your next best steps, and decide where to start. This may include talking through tailored recommendations for therapies, school supports, home strategies, provider options, and what questions to ask as you build your child’s support team or alternative forms of support you may be considering.
-
Yes. Finding the right providers can feel overwhelming, especially after a new diagnosis or when your child has more complex needs.
I can help you understand what different providers do, what red flags and green flags to look for, what questions to ask, and how to think through whether a provider’s approach is a good fit for your child and family.
-
No. Koality Families Consulting does not provide formal diagnostic evaluations or medical diagnoses.
However, I can walk families through basic developmental or diagnostic screeners, help explain what the results may indicate, and support you in deciding whether to pursue a formal evaluation with a qualified diagnosing professional. I can also help you to understand what a diagnosis may indicate for your child.
-
Yes! Potty training is one of the areas where practical, individualized support can make a huge difference.
I can help families assess readiness, choose a realistic approach, set up the environment, plan reinforcement, troubleshoot barriers, and create a toileting plan that fits your child and your home.
-
Yes. I can support families with academic barriers, school routines, learning readiness, task refusal, attention, motivation, homework struggles, and helping children build the skills they need to participate more successfully in learning environments.
This may also include helping parents think through school communication, accommodations, and how to better understand what might be getting in the way of progress.

Koality Families is not a traditional ABA therapy agency and does not provide insurance-based clinical ABA services.
My work is consultative and family-centered. I use my background as a behavior analyst, my experience with child development, and my years of hands-on work with families to provide practical recommendations, coaching, and individualized support.
-
We start by getting a clear picture of your family’s current needs, routines, challenges, and goals. From there, I help identify what may be contributing to the concern and create practical strategies you can begin using at home.
Depending on your family’s needs, this may include a written plan, parent coaching, routine support, environmental changes, communication strategies, behavior support, skill-building ideas, provider guidance, school-related support, or follow-up coaching.
-
Koality Families is primarily parent and family focused. The goal is to equip parents and caregivers with tools they can use confidently in everyday life.
In some cases, limited direct work with a child may be available as part of a consultation or coaching package. This would not replace traditional therapy or provide the typical number of therapy hours a child might receive through an ongoing clinical program. Instead, direct support would be limited and targeted, such as observation, modeling strategies, building rapport, or working through a specific skill or routine.
Because direct service requires more time, preparation, and individualized support, it is offered on a limited basis and may involve a higher investment.
-
Yes. Depending on the package or service, I can provide written recommendations, visual supports, routine plans, behavior support strategies, toileting plans, learning supports, parent strategies, or other practical materials that help your family implement the plan at home.
-
Yes. Some families may only need a focused consultation and written recommendations, while others benefit from ongoing coaching sessions to troubleshoot, refine strategies, and build confidence over time.
-
Koality Families is not currently registered as an ESA approved vendor but may be a good fit for families using ESA funds, depending on your child’s needs and the services requested. Families are responsible for confirming whether their ESA funds can be used for consulting, coaching, or educational support services.
